An Intelligence Quotient (IQ) is a measure used to assess a person’s cognitive abilities and potential in comparison to the general population. It is typically derived from standardized tests designed to evaluate various aspects of intelligence, such as logical reasoning, problem-solving skills, mathematical ability, and verbal comprehension. While IQ scores can provide insight into certain intellectual capacities, they do not account for all aspects of intelligence, such as creativity, emotional intelligence, or practical skills. Additionally, cultural and environmental factors can impact IQ test results, so they should be interpreted with caution and as part of a broader understanding of an individual’s capabilities.
